I was chatting to someone who wanted to work with me. She told me that she had “tried all the therapies” and nothing ever worked – she still felt 💩. Yes, she knew what her wounds were (very well!), but she still had them. She wanted to get rid! Of course, that’s what I do.

My approach to healing

But she wanted to know a bit more about my approach – and in telling her, I came up with this brilliant metaphor. I’m going to share it with you because it totally made sense to her, and the more I think about it, the more brilliant it is.

Imagine walking into a big old house you just bought. Exciting, right? But wait – every time you step in, there’s this strange buzzing vibe you can’t quite pinpoint. You can’t hear it exactly, but you can feel it. It’s like the house has its own little secret hum, and it’s driving you bonkers. Now, you could just live with it, but come on, who wants to live with an annoying hum? Not me, and definitely not you! This house situation is a lot like the way I approach healing.

The low-level background hum we know as anxiety

Imagine that mysterious hum as this low level of anxiety we all feel sometimes – the kind that gives you sleepless nights, a restless mind, and low energy. It’s that not-quite-right feeling that’s so far from contentment.

So, what’s the plan? How do we tackle this not-so-charming hum in our “house”? Well, having decided that it’s definitely an electrical thing, we head to the circuit boxes to take a look.

Circuit boxes and wires

These are like your major traumas – those big, obvious pains you’re fully aware of. Think of the big stuff: parents’ divorce, a major breakup, something that happened when you were seven. We know these guys, and we know they’re causing trouble.

Of course, dealing with these big traumas is crucial, but here’s the bummer: they’re connected to a bunch of other seemingly minor things.

But once you open up those circuit boxes, you’re faced with a spaghetti nightmare of wires! Each wire representing a hidden wound or emotional entanglement. It’s like a treasure hunt, only with less treasure and more… trash. 😂 And, on the occasional miracle day, maybe a scratch-off ticket worth a tenner. You start pulling these wires and discover outlets you didn’t know existed, sneaky little buggers hiding under floorboards or behind that atrocious 70s wallpaper.

The far reaching effect of trauma

Just like the circuit box has wires leading to every nook and cranny of the house, these traumas have ties to lots of little things in our lives. Pull one wire, and suddenly you’re discovering plugs and connections you had no idea existed.

It’s like finding an ancient plug socket under the floorboards or wires behind hidden tiling – unexpected and a bit of a mess, right? We’re doing some work in our house at the moment and that’s exactly what we found – a plug that had been tiled over! Hence the inspiration for this post.

And this takes me to the heart of what I do when I do healing with my clients using my Head Trash Clearance modality. We start with the obvious wounds—those big circuit boxes. But then, we keep pulling those threads, uncovering hidden wounds and connections we were totally oblivious to. As we go along, we discover stuff tucked away behind metaphorical wallpaper, tiles and flooring, unearthing the things that were always there but never addressed.

Past life trauma and ancestral trauma

Many people think that they’re unhealed wounds and traumas are limited to those that have arisen out of their own lived experiences. I’m afraid to say that that is a very limited scope and definitely not the case. Your wounds are not only yours, but they’re also ancestral or from your past lives.

Unless you’ve built your own house, the chances are you’ll be discovering some weird stuff that previous residents did in your house. If you live in a newish house then this will be limited, but I remember renovating my last house that was built in 1875 and we found all manner of weird stuff we had to deal with – layer and layers and LAYERS of horrific wall paper for starters! This is just like our wounds… there’s a lot of stuff you’re wrestling with that isn’t even ‘yours’, but it’s landed on you to deal with it. No point sulking about it – just crack on and heal it.

I’m a healing guide

I’m always very clear with people that I’m not a therapist and that I don’t work like one. When I work with my clients it’s a collaboration, and I’m their guide. And this isn’t always readily grasped, so back to my house metaphor…

Now, what about those moments when you’re deep in your healing journey, pulling on a wire and suddenly going, “What the heck is this purple wire sticking out of my emotional drywall?”

If I left you with all these exposed wires and met you once a week to chat about the chaos… would that really help? Probably not. That’s why I offer chat support 🔧! Got a purple wire dangling and unsure what to do? Shoot me a text! I’ll guide you: “Leave the purple wire alone for now; it’s a distraction. Go for the white wire!” – and just like that, your path becomes clear again.

That’s where my support and guidance comes in. Instead of leaving you to figure this puzzle out alone, I’ve got your back. When you’re untangling these emotional threads, it’s all about knowing which one to pull on next. Some wires are best left alone initially (looking at you, red wire!). I offer real-time guidance to help you navigate through these layers efficiently, making the process quicker and way more effective. Imagine having someone on call when you suddenly uncover a deeply buried wound – that’s what makes our work together so powerful and transformative.

This bespoke, hands-on healing journey is intense, but man, do we get stuff done! ⚡ We get to tackle years of buried trash and making massive leaps in no time. Like Tonia who healed her OCD, severe anxiety and her tokophobia (fear of pregnancy and birth) in only 5 weeks.

I’m all in with you on this journey, armed with some serious healing tools to clear out all your head trash – those triggers, traumas, anxieties, fears, and all the emotional wounds. My approach might be intense, but it’s also immensely rewarding. We get lots done in a short amount of time, and the results? Simply phenomenal.

So, if the idea of clear headspace and no more buzzing sounds like your cup of tea (or wine) 🥂, give me a shout. Let’s pull some wires together and clear that head trash once and for all. 💪
