“Why do you use opposites in Head Trash Clearance?”
This is a question I am often asked. So let me try to explain.
Opposites is a way of life for us
Our life is full of opposites. And while we might not think in these terms or acknowledge their presence, it’s undeniable.
You can’t pick up one side of a coin, without also picking up the other. If you want the coin, you need to accept that you’re going to get both side: heads AND tails. You can’t choose to have a pocket full of tails.
Just as you can’t have a door that just opens.
And you can’t pick up a ball without eventually letting it go.
For you to find something, it must have been lost first.
You can’t give something to someone without them taking it.
You get the idea.
Opposites are intrinsic to our existence
Our very existence relies on the presence of opposites. It’s just the way of the world. We are surrounded by opposing forces that are seeking to be in balance.
On some level we all know this. But it’s probably not something think too hard about, let alone USE. And that’s a shame, because once you tap into the Law of Opposites, magic happens!
Once you take a closer look at opposites, a lot of stuff falls into place. Especially emotional stuff.
The Law of Opposites can help us to heal
This is because most people don’t think in terms of opposites when they think of their mental or emotional resilience. But doing so can help us to make sense as to why we behave and feel the way we do.
Let me give you a couple of examples …
Staying at home only feels like a drag if there is a huge desire to be outside. It’s the desire for the outside that creates the resistance – and therefore the hate – of being inside.
If you’re someone who loves to be super-organised, the chances are that this is because you absolutely hate things being chaotic or disorganised. If you didn’t hate chaos as much, you probably wouldn’t be striving for organisation or tidiness in the way you do.
Do you see what I mean?
Your hate of something drives your love of its opposite
Our love for one thing, is usually powered by our hate of the opposite. Or vice versa.
Are there any instances in your life where you can see this in play?
This is why opposites are a fundamental principle in the Head Trash Clearance method.
It’s working with opposites that enables us to create neutrality.
When we are clearing our head trash (triggers, traumas and inner conflicts etc), what we’re really doing is clearing out energy. This emotional energy is best purged through the use of opposites in healing.
Using opposites to clear
Imagine I handed you a soaking wet beach towel and you needed to pack it away, what would you do?
Before you could pack it away, you’d need to lighten in and get rid of as much of the water as possible.
What would you do with the towel?
You’d wring it.
To do this effectively, you would probably twist it into a long thick sausage shape and then wring it one way and then twist it in the OPPOSITE direction.
Well, this is what we’re doing with your energy.
The Law of Opposites can help you to raise your level of consciousness
For you to lighten up (become enlightened) you need to lose the heavy energies that are weighing you down. The best way for us to do that is to wring you using the most powerful emotions; love and hate.
This is what enables you to achieve neutrality on any set of opposites. And doing this consistently is what enables you to lighten up and raise your your level of consciousness.
