Ever since I embarked on my healing journey, one question keeps surfacing: “Is this working?”
I bet you’ve asked yourself the same thing.
You’re doing the work. You’re trying the breathing exercises, maybe seeing a therapist, reading the self-help books. But your anxiety? It’s still there. You still can’t relax. You still wake up at 3am with that familiar tightness in your chest.
And honestly? Most anxiety tests out there won’t help you figure out why.
Why Most Anxiety Tests Miss the Point
Let’s talk about the GAD-7 for a second.
You know the one I mean. Seven questions asking things like “Over the last two weeks, how often have you felt nervous, anxious or on edge?” with answer options like “not at all,” “several days,” “more than half the days.”
Here’s the problem with that.
Those questions? They’re just measuring symptoms. They’re telling you how anxious you are. Which, let me be clear, you already know. That’s why you’re taking the bloody test in the first place.
The GAD-7 will tell you that you have “moderately severe anxiety.” Great. Now what? What do you actually do with that information?

For most people, the answer is meds. But if you don’t want meds – if you want to actually get rid of your anxiety rather than just manage it – then the GAD-7 gives you nothing. It states the obvious and sends you on your way.
It doesn’t tell you why you can’t stop worrying.
It doesn’t explain what’s making you feel on edge.
It doesn’t help you understand why you have trouble relaxing, or why you get easily annoyed.
It just confirms what you already knew: yes, you’re anxious. Thanks for nothing.
What If You Could See What’s Happening Beneath the Surface?
Over the last decade, I’ve worked with hundreds of people clearing their head trash – the internal patterns, fears, and unresolved stuff that keeps us stuck. And I’ve noticed something.
Certain themes keep coming up. Not occasionally. Every single time.
These aren’t random triggers or one-off issues. They’re foundational patterns that everyone seems to carry. And when we work on these first – when we clear these specific themes using Head Trash Clearance – everything else starts shifting.
Sometimes clearing these foundational themes is all that’s required.
That’s when I realised: these are the real drivers of anxiety. The things underneath all those GAD-7 symptoms. The root causes.
And nobody was measuring them. So I created an assessment that does.
The 6 Categories of Anxiety (The Ones Nobody Talks About)
After working with people for over ten years using Head Trash Clearance – my healing modality – I’ve identified six universal anxiety themes.
Everyone has these. Absolutely everyone.
The difference is which ones are active, which ones are dominating, and how much anxiety each one is creating for you specifically.
Here they are:
1. Control and Trust
When you don’t trust that things will be okay, you try to control everything to feel safe.
Makes sense, right?
But here’s the thing: low trust in others is actually a reflection of low trust in yourself. So you end up needing to control everything because you don’t believe anyone else (including you) can handle it.
This is exhausting. And it feeds your anxiety in a loop.
You can’t delegate. You can’t let go. You can’t relax because the moment you stop controlling things, you feel unsafe.
2. Change and Uncertainty
A lot of anxious people don’t like change.
Actually, that’s not quite right. They’re fine with change if it’s going in a positive direction. But since they can’t control how change will pan out (see category 1), they avoid it altogether.
The problem? Avoiding change keeps you stuck. And staying stuck maintains your anxiety.
You know things need to change. But the fear of uncertainty is so uncomfortable that you’d rather stay where you are – even if where you are is making you miserable.
3. Stuckness and Decision Making
Speaking of stuck. A lot of people are stuck because they can’t make decisions.
Why can’t they make decisions? Because they’re terrified of getting it wrong. Of messing it up. Of making a mistake.
So they overthink. They plan to the nth degree. They worry about every possible outcome.
And then they don’t decide at all. Which keeps them stuck. Which maintains the anxiety. Which makes it even harder to make a decision next time.
See the pattern?
Oh, and decision-making ties into change and uncertainty (category 2) because making a decision might create change. And it ties into control (category 1) because what if you make the wrong decision and things spin out of control?
Everything’s connected.
4. Responsibility
Making decisions requires taking responsibility for them. And a lot of anxious people fear responsibility.
Why? Because once you take responsibility, you have to live with it. You might get blamed. You might be judged. You might mess things up (back to decision-making).
So instead of stepping up and taking responsibility for your life, you shrink back. You defer. You avoid. And guess what that does to your anxiety? It feeds it.
5. Safety and Security
This one’s foundational.
If you don’t feel safe, your nervous system stays on high alert. Your body is constantly scanning for threats. Your anxiety never switches off.
And here’s what most people don’t realise: feeling unsafe isn’t just about physical danger.
It’s about emotional safety. Financial safety. Relationship safety. It’s about whether you trust that you’re going to be okay. (Notice how trust keeps showing up? Told you everything’s connected.)
6. Self-Worth and Judgement
If you’re full of self-doubt, if you don’t believe in your own ability to succeed, if you think everyone’s judging you – that’s going to hold you back from changing anything.
Low self-worth means low self-trust (category 1 again). Which means you don’t believe you can handle change (category 2). Which makes decisions feel impossible (category 3). Which keeps you stuck.
And all of this creates anxiety.

Why This Free Anxiety Test Is Different
This free anxiety test I’ve created doesn’t just tell you how anxious you are. It shows you which ONE of these six categories is driving your anxiety most. That’s your starting point. The thing you need to focus on first.
You get visibility on what’s actually going on inside your head. And here’s the important bit: This free anxiety test doesn’t stand alone as an “oh, isn’t that interesting” piece of information.
It pairs with a way out.
Because I know Head Trash Clearance works for anxiety. I’ve seen it work for over a decade. I’ve used it myself to heal my own crippling anxiety around pregnancy and birth.
I wrote about that journey in my book Fearless Birthing – it’s what kicked off all this work. When I was pregnant with my first daughter (she’s 15 now!), I discovered I had tokophobia, a severe phobia of pregnancy which is actually a severe anxiety disorder. I had to heal because where I was was untenable.
That healing journey showed me that anxiety doesn’t have to be permanent. It can be cleared. Completely. And I’ve spent the last decade developing and refining the method that made it possible: Head Trash Clearance.
How It Works
The free anxiety test is 12 questions and it takes about 3 minutes.
You answer honestly (and these questions are very different from the GAD-7 – they’re actually useful), and you get instant results showing you which ONE theme is driving your anxiety most.
That’s it. One clear answer. This is the thing you need to focus on.
From there, you can:
Use that insight to start your own healing with the various Head Trash resources available;
- Read my book Clear Your Anxiety For Good which walks you through the Head Trash Clearance method
- When you’ve done the free anxiety test, you can choose to upgrade to the Anxiety Deep Dive or Anxiety Healing Blueprint to get your full anxiety profile across all 6 categories, plus personalised healing guidance for each theme. Not essential, but there if you want it.
- Join the Clearance Club for ongoing support and access to all my DIY healing resources
- Explore the Anxiety Healing System – my complete programme for clearing anxiety at the root.
The paid anxiety assessments show you how all six categories are playing out for you specifically. Which ones are most active. How they’re connected. And exactly what to clear for each one.
If you tackle one theme a week using Head Trash Clearance – just one hour a day for that week – you can clear it completely. That’s how specific this work is.
Not years of talking about your anxiety. Weeks of actually clearing it.
What People Are Missing
The thing that breaks my heart is how many people are stuck in therapy or on medication because nobody’s looking beneath the surface.
They’re treating symptoms. Managing anxiety instead of getting rid of it. They’re being told their anxiety is just how they are. Something they have to live with. Something to cope with.
And look, I’m not saying medication doesn’t have its place. For some people, at certain times, it’s absolutely necessary. But if you want to get rid of your anxiety – not just manage it, but actually clear it – you need to understand what’s driving it.
You need to know which of these six categories is active. You need to see the patterns. You need to address the root, not the symptoms. That’s what this assessment gives you: Visibility. Clarity. A way forward.
From One Anxious Person to Another
I get it. I really do. I’ve been there – lying awake at night, chest tight, mind racing, wondering if this is just how life is going to be.
I’ve done the therapy. I’ve tried the breathing exercises. I’ve read all the books about “managing” anxiety.
And none of it worked. Not really.
What worked was clearing the head trash. Going to the root. Addressing the actual drivers instead of trying to soothe the symptoms.
My anxiety around pregnancy was so severe I couldn’t even think about it without my body going into panic mode. And I cleared it. Completely. In months, not years.
That’s what’s possible when you work at the root level.
Take the Free Anxiety Assessment
I created this because I was tired of seeing people spin their wheels.
Tired of watching them try intervention after intervention without understanding why nothing was sticking. Tired of the mental health industry offering assessments that state the obvious and treatment that keeps people stuck.
Your anxiety isn’t random. It’s not “just how you are.” It’s being driven by specific, identifiable patterns of head trash.
And once you can see those patterns, you can clear them. That’s what this free anxiety assessment will show you.
Take the Free 12-Question Anxiety Assessment → It’s 12 questions. 3 minutes. And it will tell you exactly which ONE theme is driving your anxiety most.
Finally, you’ll know what to focus on.
