You think you want abundance but you don’t really. I bet you’ve never really given this serious thought. I bet that abundance for you is an idea that sounds attractive. But is it? Is it really?
Let’s take a look.
You don’t want an abundance of things
You don’t want an abundance of things littering your house and taking up time and space. Just think of all the maintenance and cost of looking after your expensive gadgets, cars and posh upholstery.
You don’t want an abundance of land around your home
You don’t want an abundance of land around your home. Just think of how long it would take to mow the lawn, pick up the dead leaves, trim the flowers. You’d need to pay a team of people just to keep it from going wild and looking like a messy wasteland. Is that what you want?
You don’t want an abundance of rooms and space in your house
You don’t want an abundance of rooms and space in your house. Just imagine what it would take to heat it and furnish it so that it didn’t feel like a cold sports hall. By the time your interior designer had finished the house, you’d be bored of the curtains in the reading room and will need to start all over again. All those decisions that would need to be made. Again. Is that what you want?
You don’t want an abundance of clothes and shoes
You don’t want an abundance of clothes and shoes because they’d spend most of their time in storage and not on you looking fabulous. And by the time you did get round to wearing them the size would be off, or you’d fall out of love with them and choose not to wear them. Is that what you want?
You don’t want an abundance of money
You don’t want an abundance of money because you’d probably spend it all at once. And if you didn’t you’d need to surround yourself with money managers who you’d need to keep a close eye on in case they cream some away for themselves. And just think of all those decisions you’d have to make about which fund, investment or property to buy. And the tax head ache! And that’s without having to bat away all those ‘friends’ who’ve come out of nowhere wanting a piece of you, when all they really want is your money. You’d receive piles of letters everyday from people sharing their worthy cause as they ask for your money. Horrid folk might want to kidnap your family to get some of your money off you. Is that what you want?
You don’t want an abundance of people and friends
You don’t want an abundance of people and friends because your home would be packed and you’d have no time to yourself. You’d be constantly making cups of tea or drunk. We can only handle a small number of close relationships. The more people you know, the less close and meaningful the relationships might become. You’d be surrounded by people where you’re not sure if they like YOU or your MONEY and THINGS. Is that what you want?
You don’t want an abundance of attention
You don’t want an abundance of attention because your phone would never stop ringing, your email inbox would stress you out and you’d be followed wherever you went. People would write crap about you, just because. You’d be trolled on social media and you’d want to hide, drink or take drugs. You’d have no privacy or time to yourself. Is that what you want?
You don’t want an abundance of food
You don’t want an abundance of food because then you’ll eat like a pig and be fat and unhealthy. And you’ll die before you can enjoy all the money, fast cars, big houses and fancy clothes.
Bummer.
Often we imagine the things we want in our lives and we trick ourselves into believing that it IS what we want. But deep down it’s not really what we want.
Perhaps that’s why we don’t get it.
If you are chasing abundance, then it’s coming from a place of scarcity and lack.
But scarcity and lack are not always to be feared or places to escape from.
I love having a lack of pollution and toxic fumes.
I love having experiencing scarcity around junk food.
I love having a lack of trolls sending me shitty comments on social media.
The answer lies in balance.
If you tune into abundance what comes up for you?
How does abundance make you FEEL?
Is it light, airy and energising?
Great. Keep going.
Or is it heavy, overwhelming and suffocating?
In which case you’re dragging yourself into a ditch.
How you feel will tell you everything you need to know to get what you truly want.
Would you like more abundance in your life?
The chances are that you would, but maybe not in the excessive manner I outlined at the beginning of this post.
For abundance to truly flow in and out of our lives we need it to be in balance, and something can only be in balance when there isn’t something weighing it down. This means letting go of some of the heaviness or dislike you might have around aspects of abundance. You might be wondering “how on earth do I do that??”. Well, it’s simple; just use the Head Trash Clearance Method to restore emotional balance to abundance.

Here are some ideas on things you can clear to get you going;
